A camera watches the screen and the strip behind the TV paints the same colours on your wall. Sized for 55 to 65 inch TVs.
Why it fits: It copies whatever is on screen, so it works with the YouTube app built into your TV. Nothing has to be plugged in between. The best place to start.

Reads the picture straight from the HDMI signal instead of a camera. Comes with its own backlight strip for 55 to 65 inch TVs.
Why it fits: Colour comes from the signal itself, so there is no camera to position. It only sees what is plugged into it, so play sessions from a streaming stick, console, or computer rather than the TV's built-in app.

A TV backlight kit reads the picture and paints the same colours on the wall behind it. Govee kits do this with a camera or an HDMI box. This is what the sessions are made for.
RGBIC lights show several colours at once along one strip or bar. A session with two colours on screen needs that. Plain RGB shows one colour at a time and looks flat.
Lamps, bulbs, and strips that cannot see the TV can still listen. Music Mode uses a built-in mic to move with the sound. Pick a calm effect and lower the sensitivity.
The wall behind the screen is where the glow reads best, so get that right first. A camera kit can later lead other Govee lights in the room through DreamView.
